40 Developmental Assets

The 40 Developmental Assets is a framework that identifies a set of skills, experiences, relationships and behaviors that enable young people to develop into successful and contributing adults. Within the framework there are 40 assets that spread across eight broad areas of human development. The Assets help young people make positive decisions on actions and choices that are presented to them. The more Assets youths have, the more likely they are to steer clear of risky behaviors. The best thing about Assets is, they are easy to build and everyone can do it!
